Fully integrated within the Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS), the BDCS distributes critical information across all networked workstations, enabling efficient incident management and plotting. It features a 2D or isometric representation of the ship’s General Arrangement Plan (GAP), allowing for infinite layers of ship systems information to be overlaid for enhanced situational awareness. The system works in conjunction with damage-control-related Automatic Sequence Controllers (ASC) to automate incident management tasks and includes automated kill cards for effective response management. Additional capabilities include embedded CCTV support for real-time incident visualization, direct interaction with ship stability calculations, personnel and material resource management, casualty prioritization, and comprehensive logging and reporting of damage control events.
