UK’s £4.5 Billion Military Boost to Ukraine

£4.5 billion military boost to Ukraine front line to support UK growth and jobs

 

• The UK has pledged £12.8 billion in support to Ukraine since February 2022, with £7.8 billion for military assistance.
• This includes £3 billion for military assistance in 2024/25.
• The £4.5 billion boost will be used to procure hundreds more air defense systems, drones, and essential equipment support to sustain Ukrainian forces on the front line.
• The funding will directly support the UK deference industry, with firms ramping up production to meet Ukraine’s requirements.
• The UK has pledged £12.8 billion in support to Ukraine since February 2022, of which £7.8 billion is for military assistance.
• The latest pledges build on the £12.8bn the UK has already given to Ukraine and commitments of £3bn every year for “as long as it takes”.
• The UK is providing both lethal and non-lethal weaponry, including tanks, air defence systems, and long-range precision strike missiles.
