UK MoD awards Elbit further night-vision goggles contract for British Army
• UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) has awarded Elbit Systems a contract worth GBP16 million (USD19.9 million) to supply Night Vision Goggles (NVGs) and through-life support to the British Army.
• Elbit Systems UK Ltd., a subsidiary of Elbit Systems UK, was awarded a follow-on contract valued at approximately $19 million to supply NVGs and through-life support to the British Army.
• The contract will be executed over an 18-month period.
• Elbit Systems UK, a subsidiary of Elbit Systems UK, was awarded a contract modification in October 2024 to supply more XACT nv33 compact night vision goggles (NVGs).
Elbit Systems UK Reinforces Night Vision Leadership for UK Defence
• Elbit Systems UK’s subsidiary Instro, a subsidiary of Elbit Systems UK, won a contract in October 2024 to supply additional XACT nv33 compact Night Vision Goggles (NVGs) to the British Armed Forces.
• The contract, worth £16 million, will see a phased rollout over 18 months.
• The XACT nv33 image-intensifying goggle enhances the military’s surveillance capabilities.
• The contract will secure 119 jobs in Belfast and maintain the British Army and Royal Marines’ very Short-Range Air Defence capability.
• The British Army will receive new state-of-the-art Night Vision Goggles (NVGs) and Thermal Clip-on Systems (TCOS), improving soldiers’ ability to fight further, faster, and smarter.
• The deployment of the XACT nv33 systems received positive reception from end-users, and Instro was contracted to provide additional XACT nv33 systems to MOD as well as through-life support.
