What We Are Looking For
About the Team
This role will report through to our Warehouse Team Lead and will work alongside her members of the warehouse. The Warehouse team forms part of our greater Inventory Planning team which encompasses Material Control, Material Planning, a Logistics Engineer and SAP Master Data Specialists.
About The Role
As a Warehouse Operator, you will work in a growing team to ensure all goods to our site are unloaded, received, checked stored and picked in a safe and timely manner. You will work collaboratively with the Rheinmetall Inventory, Quality and Production teams as well. This role will be a full-time permanent position at our Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence in a still-new and well-maintained warehouse.
The general and generic duties of the Warehouse Operator include, but not limited to:
Ensure and manage a safe environment and operation for all team members and facility visitors;
Establish and monitor compliance of health and safety systems and procedures;
Determine daily and weekly workforce forecasts and prioritise and assign tasks accordingly;
Oversee stock control and processing of incoming materials to the Warehouse;
Supervise the physical and system receipt and dispatch of all materials through the warehouse;
Ensure all materials are correctly packaged for movement and storage to ensure serviceability is maintained;
Provide initial and continuation SAP training for all team members;
Establish and monitor control systems for inbound / outbound goods, and quality and security of goods;
Communicate with other departments for things such as delivery times and planning future capacity requirements;
Investigate and resolve discrepancies between stock and records; and
Agree to and put in place performance agreements for team members.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:
Proven experience working in a large warehouse environment;
SAP system experience (desirable) or large ERP system experience;
Competent in the Microsoft Office suite;
LF (forklift) license (essential);
A positive attitude to safety and team work;
Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (must hold Australian Citizenship).
