Based in our Leonardo DRS Naval Electronics Display, Processing, and Networking Center located in Johnstown, PA, you will gain hands-on experience participating in continuous improvement activities to help us improve efficiency, optimize processes, and drive innovation to identify, reduce and remove waste.

Job Responsibilities
Participate in continuous improvement kaizen events to drive waste reduction across the business
Conduct time studies on the manufacturing floor
Carry out basic work instructions that will help in understanding the fundamentals of the Company and also learn new things
Gather and assemble data to identify areas of opportunity within the factory
Complete assigned tasks on time
Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Must be currently enrolled in an institution for higher learning with some progress towards an Industrial Engineering or Operations Management degree
Must have good interpersonal skills and have the ability to build a good network
Must be diligent, hardworking, and quick to learn
Competence with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
Ability to analyze data, draw meaningful conclusions, and make recommendations
Eager to understand, document, map, analyze, critique, and improve processes
Comfortable with communicating both written and verbally with all employees and functional groups
