Job Description
We are currently hiring for a Software Engineer for our A&N Acoustics teams. You will be developing software using modern development techniques, to create new capabilities, enhance existing capabilities, and improve the way we develop and deliver solutions to our customer. We are looking for someone who is skilled in Object Oriented Programming with experience in C++, C and python.
As part of the team you will:
Perform analysis of logical interface documents from to determine how equipment can be integrated.
Develop and document software to exchange data with equipment and appropriate user interfaces to allow presentation of received data and control of systems via their external interfaces.
Design, implement, and test software features for our cutting-edge products, making a real impact in the field of acoustics technology.
Tackle Challenges: Follow a test-driven development approach to contribute to all stages of the software development process.
Collaborate with Experts: Work with a diverse group of engineers and collaborate on solutions, sharing your ideas and findings.
Utilize Multiple Languages: Dive into the world of C++, C, and Python as you work on projects
Provide leadership and guidance to more junior team members
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or applicable scientific discipline
Approximately 5+ years of relevant experience
Previous experience contributing to an open source project
Experience with technical writing
Understanding of Software Engineering principles and applying those techniques
Positive approach to learning and trying new things
Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
Excellent communication
Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
