Purpose and Scope:

Provide Server – Housekeeping services according to Air Force lodging and food distribution standards. This position is in support of the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program (AFCAP) and is located at Ascension Island Auxiliary Airfield (AAAF).

Essential Responsibilities:

Support dining facility and catering operations as needed.
Make up boxes or containers, assemble, and pack the meal components for pickup by others as requested when pre-arranged for those working shift, extended shifts, overtime, or non-routine support.
Cleanup those areas that immediately affect customer service to include appearance of the dining hall.
Comply with the AAAF Integrated Solid Waste Management Plan. This may require segregating organic waste from other wastes.
Maintain a friendly demeanor when interacting with guests, co-workers, and property employees.
Ensure that the work area is safe, clean and sanitary at all times.
Assist in cleaning emergency spills observed or on request.
Maintain assigned equipment and reports needed repairs to equipment, furniture, building, and fixtures.
Report lost and found items to internal Supervisor.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Maintain active ServSafe certifications.
High school diploma or equivalent training & experience.
Ability to read and write English is required.
Solid communications skills, strong interpersonal skills.
Strong ability to work as a member of a diverse, dynamic team.
Outstanding problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
Candidate should be other country national (OCN) or local national (LN).
Possess a valid driver’s license, passport from their country, and have ability to obtain a work visa.
Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Able to stand for long periods of time such as eight to ten hours, bend, kneel, and reach to store/retrieve supplies.
Able to lift, carry, and push supplies and boxes up to 50 pounds.
Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable.
Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
