Thales Airspace Mobility Solutions is searching for a Graduate or Junior Infrastructure DevOps Engineer to join the team that is delivering a range of IT Computer and networked infrastructure for a safety critical Air Traffic Control solution.
The purpose of this position includes automating the deployment and configuration of the IT platform and SOE (Standard Operating Environment) using IaaC (Infrastructure as a Code, Ansible/Python), as well as automating other operations such as compliance checks (Chef Inspec, Go) and reports.
Some key day to day responsibilities:
As part of a team assisting in delivering infrastructure-based projects, working on the automation of the SOE (Standard Operating Environment) and infrastructure/platform deployment using infrastructure as a Code.
Familiarising yourself with documentation and the complex world of air traffic management
Reading and reviewing architecture diagrams
Installing and upgrading systems
Working cross functionally with various engineering disciplines to deliver solutions to our clients
Qualifications
Engineering or Computer Science Degree or equivalent
On day one you will come with:
Experience/knowledge in Linux Operating Systems (RHEL, Rocky Linux, Fedora predominantly)
Experience in programming/scripting (Shell, Python, Go)
The ability to work within a large team environment, working cohesively towards a common goal.
Curiosity for everything tech and the ability to navigate a heterogeneous solution involving many technologies.
