Job Description:
Responsible for performing inspections on materials, equipment, electromechanical assemblies, panel/module level assemblies. Interprets manufacturing drawings, specifications, QAPPs (Quality Clause) and both commercial and government documentation required for presentation and shipping. Is responsible for validating products and documentation for compliance to all applicable requirements and preparing items for presentation to the customer for acceptance and delivery.
Essential Functions:
Inspection of product and review of shipping documents in accordance with L3Harris Workmanship Standards, engineering requirements, customer specifications, work instructions, inspection plans, QAPPs and other requirements as needed
Ensure that products and services conform to established company and contractual requirements
Make Recommendations and help implement continuous improvement of the processes and products
Understand and apply the elements of corrective and preventive actions, including root cause analysis
Ability to provide training to new inspectors
Able to work with minimal support on commercial and government deliveries
Continue to effectively work with external customers, understanding their needs and ensuring our processes are in line with customer expectations while building long lasting, stable relationships
Qualifications:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior inspection experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior inspection experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
Strong computer skills
Good written and oral communication skills
Experience working in a team environment to solve problems.
Experience with electronics workmanship standards such as IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620
Experience in Aerospace manufacturing, mechanical assemblies, and/or electronic assemblies |
