About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Professional to lead procurement efforts for our client in the Defence & Aerospace sector. This pivotal role involves managing procurement for both aviation and non-aviation projects, ensuring adherence to regulations, and driving strategic sourcing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee project-related procurement of materials and components for assemblies, systems, and equipment based on defined Bills of Material (BOM).
Conduct negotiations on quantities, prices, delivery terms, and conditions, ensuring Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) is achieved.
Research and analyze procurement markets, carry out price comparisons, and implement category management strategies.
Manage supplier relationships, including evaluation, documentation, and complaint handling.
Ensure compliance with tax, legal, and contractual regulations.
Monitor budgets, identify discrepancies, and collaborate with project management for resolution.
Support strategic procurement initiatives, including digital purchasing solutions and cross-site training programs.
Prepare and support contracts, including framework agreements and standard contracts.
Collaborate with internal teams such as Program Management, Engineering, and Quality Management.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Procurement, preferably in an aviation or complex make to order project environment.
Knowledge: Familiarity with contract law (BGB), supplier evaluation, and procurement tools (Orgamax, ELO, MS-Office).
Languages: Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
Skills:
Strong negotiation and communication abilities at all organizational levels.
Strategic thinker with an independent and solution-oriented approach.
Proficiency in MS Office and digital procurement tools. |
