Your Role: Field Service Technician
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Field Service Technician to join the Scylla In Service Support Team maintaining and repairing complex Sensor Systems fitted to Collins class Submarines.
As a Field Service technician, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing state of the art equipment fitted to RAN ships, submarines, and land-based sites, ensuring optimal performance. Your key focus will be on supporting Thales equipment fitted to Collins Class Submarines under the ISS Contract.
Permanent opportunity and based on-site at Rockingham, WA.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful and professional conduct of maintenance and / or repair tasks
Leading the technical aspects of a maintenance task
Communicating with Supervisors and Maintenance Managers, ensuring task progression and relevant issues are reported
Develop documents & capture of information within information systems relating to the conduct of maintenance and/or repair activities
Assisting the Inventory Management team to receipt, packaging and despatch GFE/CFE as required
Your Skills:
Electrical Engineering Cert IV or equivalent or
Cert IV in Information Technology (networking)
Experience in fault finding including analysis and documentation of process and results.
Previous experience working within a Defence or Defence Industry environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Advanced skills in MS Office
