Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Environmental Test Technician to join our team in supporting the UAV Project. This role will involve setting up, conducting, and troubleshooting environmental tests to ensure that the UAV can withstand a wide range of environmental conditions, such as extreme temperatures, humidity, vibration, dust, and electromagnetic interference. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with environmental testing equipment and procedures, as well as a strong understanding of testing protocols for aerospace systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Setup and Equipment Preparation: Assist in setting up environmental test equipment, including thermal chambers, vibration tables, humidity chambers, rain and dust chambers, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) test equipment. Ensure that all equipment is calibrated and functioning properly.
Environmental Testing Execution: Conduct a variety of environmental tests on UAV components and systems, such as temperature cycling, humidity testing, vibration testing, dust/water ingress testing, and EMC/EMI testing, to validate system performance under extreme conditions.
Monitoring and Data Collection: Operate environmental test equipment during tests, collecting and recording data on system performance, environmental conditions, and potential failures. Ensure that all instrumentation is properly connected and configured for accurate data collection.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Identify and troubleshoot issues that arise during testing, including problems with test setups or instrumentation. Work with engineers to resolve problems and ensure tests are completed as planned.
Test Documentation: Maintain detailed records of test procedures, data, and results. Document any anomalies or issues observed during testing and provide clear reports for further analysis by engineers.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols during environmental testing, including proper handling of high-temperature equipment, pressurized systems, and hazardous materials. Ensure compliance with environmental safety standards.
Equipment Calibration and Maintenance: Ensure that environmental test equipment is regularly calibrated, maintained, and in good working order. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on test equipment as necessary.
Collaboration with Engineering Teams: Work closely with environmental test engineers to plan and execute tests. Provide feedback on test setup, data collection, and any issues observed during testing. Support engineers in troubleshooting and analyzing test results.

Education & Experience:

Associate degree or equivalent technical certification in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electronics, or a related field
Minimum 6-7 years of hands-on experience in environmental testing, preferably in aerospace, UAV, or military systems.
Experience with environmental test equipment, such as thermal chambers, humidity chambers, vibration tables, rain/dust chambers, and EMC/EMI testing equipment.
Ability to read and interpret test plans, engineering drawings, and equipment manuals to set up and conduct tests.
Familiarity with data acquisition systems and basic data analysis tools (e.g., LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python) to monitor and record test results.
Experience in troubleshooting environmental test setups, including resolving issues with test equipment or test conditions.
Knowledge of environmental test standards (e.g., MIL-STD-810, DO-160) and how they apply to UAV and aerospace testing.
Strong understanding of safety protocols in environmental testing, including handling high-stress systems and extreme conditions.

ADASI is an equal-opportunity employer and is committed to diversity and inclusion. We encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply.

If you are a highly motivated Environmental Test Technician looking to contribute to cutting-edge aerospace solutions, we invite you to join our dynamic team at ADASI and help shape the future of airspace technology.
