Summary
You will serve as a ELECTRONICS MECHANIC in the Fuels Department, Operations Division of NAVSUP FLC PEARL HARBOR.

Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: I have the ability to perform common tasks including repairing and replacing thermocouples, resistors, tubes, transistors, integrated circuits, capacitors, power transformers, batteries, rectifiers, diodes, and various indication instruments and meters; Inspecting and testing electrical and electronic components for proper operation and calibration; Performing all phases of electrical and electronic component maintenance associated with complex liquid fuel distribution systems and facilities including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and modification; Utilizing safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment; Making and repairing grounding cables and insulating flanges at tank truck loading racks, fuel storage tanks, fuel pipelines at pier heads and at pumphouse motors. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. NAVSUP’s mission is to provide supplies, services, and quality-of-life support to the Navy and Joint warfighter. We manage supply chains that provide material for Navy aircraft, surface ships, submarines and their associated weapon systems. We provide centralized inventory management of the Navy’s non-nuclear ordnance stockpile.
