The upper stage EV box is made of 6 normally closed electro-valves providing a gas flow to the user when activated by an electrical command. It is a power-amplified device, composed of a power stage driven by a pilot stage, actuated by a redundant electrical solenoid.
This box is made of 3 normally closed direct drive electro-valves providing a nitrogen gas flow when activated by an electrical command. The baseplate integrates three identical, two-ways direct drive EVs, consisting in three screwed mono-stable solenoid actuators.
This valve operates as propellant chamber valve for the Prometheus engine, on both oxygen and methane sides. This ball valve allows the propellant flow regulation thanks to its motorized geared electrical actuator as well as the propellant tightness in closed position.
The FLPP Hydrogen Chamber Valve (HCV) is an electrical poppet valve designed to work with gaseous hydrogen and driven by a brushless geared electrical motor. It has been successfully tested on the ETID engine demonstrator.
The check valve CT141-1 is in the blower circuit for electronic equipment in the aircraft bay. Produced by Safran Cabin, it is comprised of a housing with 2 mobile flaps and a spring.
The Purge Valve (PV) is a normally open pneumatic poppet valve. It allows the engine’s chill down and manages the engine transients. Part of the Vulcain cryogenic engine, the PV remain closed at high propellant pressure even in case of a loss of the helium command pressure.
Safran Cabin designs and manufactures solenoid, motor operated, pressure regulating, and non-return valves for use in bleed air systems. Typical functions include the regulation of bleed air pressure, temperature and mass flow.
