Naval Group

France | FREMM, the ultimate surface combatant

The FREMM multimission frigate provides exceptional naval capabilities, particularly in anti-submarine warfare and deep strikes, having successfully launched its first cruise missiles in 2018.

France | Mistral class LHD: high-capacity, high-agility

Mistral class Landing Helicopter Docks (LHD) are versatile and capable, used for joint force projection and support operations. They have supported humanitarian missions such as transferring COVID-19 patients in 2020.

France | Bâtiment ravitailleur de forces (BFR)

In partnership with Chantiers de l'Atlantique, Naval Group provides a new logistics support vessel with unmatched refuelling capabilities and flexible architecture, essential for naval operations.

France | Multiple naval programs

A 360° naval defence is a reality reflected in multiple naval programs. Amongst these are ships delivered as part of export contracts: Belh@rra® defence and intervention frigates (FDI), Gowind®, ocean-going corvettes with stealth and endurance, minehunters, multimission armed patrol vessels, the Ocean Patrol Vessels (OPV). More recently, Vagir, a conventional Scorpène® class submarine was successfully delivered to the Indian Navy in January 2023, thanks to a unique transfer of technology program contributing to the navy’s autonomy.

France | Exchangers

Seawater exchangers guarantee a high level of performance for onboard cooling systems such as the propulsion and electricity production systems.

France | Gearboxes

Gearboxes allow speed reduction on motors, whilst still respecting the requirements for combat ships concerning shock resistance, acoustic discretion, vibrations, compactness, reliability and minimum maintenance.

France | Surface ship torpedo-launching tubes

Torpedo-launching tubes are capable of launching light torpedoes respecting the NATO standard from surface ships and are available in several configurations (two or three tubes).

France | Submarine weapon-launching tubes

Submarine weapon-launching tubes are compatible with all types of weapons (torpedoes, missiles, mines) in a NATO format. The highest levels of security are given to these essential mechanical components that penetrate the pressure hull and form an integral part of diving safety.

France | Shaft lines

Shaft lines are a part of the propulsion system and form the link between the motor and the thruster. Naval Group’s industrial capacity enables machining work on shafts measuring up to 25 metres.

France | Hoistable masts

The masts measure up to 14 meters and are strategic elements of the combat system, raising the submarine’s sensors out of the water when it is at periscope depth. They also act as a snorting mast, keeping the boat’s diesel engines supplied with air.

France | Landing grids

Helicopter landing grids enable rapid take-off and landing of helicopters and drones in complete safety and in difficult sea conditions, while also respecting NATO standards.

France | SAMAHÉ®

The Samahé® helicopter handling system enables helicopters to be transferred in complete safety between the flight deck and the hangar and vice versa, all in rough seas. The Samahé® range is adapted to all naval helicopters of up to 16 tons.

France | SYLVER®

The Sylver® vertical missile launching system range enables the firing of surface-to-air missiles or naval cruise missiles. Naval Group has sold over 200 Sylver® around the world.
