The Purge Valve (PV) is a normally open pneumatic poppet valve. It allows the engine’s chill down and manages the engine transients. Part of the Vulcain cryogenic engine, the PV remain closed at high propellant pressure even in case of a loss of the helium command pressure.
The Chamber Valve (VC) is part of the Ariane 5 and 6 Vulcain cryogenic engine. The VC provides very low propellant leakage tightness under cryogenic conditions and at the same time a very low pressure drop in open position.
The Hot Gas Valve (VGC2) is a pneumatically actuated throttling valve on the Ariane 5 Vulcain 2 cryogenic engine. It is located downstream of the gas generator.
The Hot Gas Valve (VGC 2.1) is an electrically actuated throttling valve on the Ariane 6 Vulcain 2.1 cryogenic engine, located downstream of the gas generator. Its position is fixed during flight.
The hydraulic equipment designed by Safran Aerosystems is made up of complete assemblies providing a variety of functions: braking, steering, landing gear extension/retraction, flight controls, regulation, monitoring, air management and leading-edge de-icing.
The Safran Aerosystems offer is the result of its recognized expertise and includes rigid or articulated high-pressure and high-temperature metal ducting, components for fluid systems and telescopic ducting for engines, leading-edges and ventilation systems.
A K-20 hydraulic crane equipped for multi-purpose crawler tractors and armored support vehicles, designed for hoisting and conveying loads with remote or on-board control.
The test laboratory is equipped with three power packs to enable tests of valves, hydraulic cylinders as well as planetary transmission gears with hydraulic actuation.
Designed for heavy-duty vehicle applications, the Oshkosh® ProPulse® hybrid diesel-electric system dramatically improves fuel economy by up to 20% and can power entire airfields or hospitals. The system’s silent drive, extended silent watch, and increased exportable power make it ideal for combat and reconnaissance. The modular series-hybrid arrangement simplifies power transmission to the wheels and reduces life-cycle costs by lowering drivetrain torque and enhancing brake life.
Electrohydraulic (EH) actuators produce force by a hydraulic power unit (HPU) which includes electric motors, pumps, reservoirs, relief valves, check valves, and associated plumbing. They enable precise control by employing electrohydraulic servovalves, converting current input signals into controlled fluid flow.
Electrohydrostatic (EHA) actuators offer highly reliable, two-fault tolerant steering control solutions. With EHA actuation, the motor works through gears and the output of a pump directly actuates a conventional hydraulic piston, providing enhanced reliability for future man-rated space vehicles.
Today, Kongsberg Defence Systems (KONGSBERG) has signed a framework agreement with the Norwegian Defence Logistics Organisation on maintenance of gearboxes for the Norwegian Sea King helicopters.
