Proximity sensors work in a similar manner to variable reluctance speed sensors, coming in either hall effect or inductive sensing types. They respond to the presence or absence of a ferrous or non-ferrous target material within or outside a range of distances, providing an electrical output signal to indicate the target location. The housings are typically made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel, with customizable lightweight options available. The envelope and construction can be tailored for various applications.

Magnetic Particle Inspection is a very sensitive method of inspecting and locating surface or near surface defects in ferromagnetic materials. Magnetic particles are applied to the surface in a liquid suspension. The particles reveal the location, size, shape and extent of the defects.

Penetrant Inspection is a method of inspection for the surface of metals and other nonporous solids for cracks, pits and other defects. The process utilizes fluorescent, water-washable liquid that is allowed to enter defects that can then be identified under black light.

This chemical process reveals grinding and machining burns, decarburization, rehardening, retempering or case leakage.

Conventional liquid finishing can provide corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, wear resistance and decorative qualities. Hytek applies all types of primers, topcoats, Teflon, Sol-gel, and specialty finishes.

A pigmented coating is specialized coating used to enhance corrosion protection and lubricity, mostly for fasteners. Exclusively used on composite aircraft.

A solid film lubricant prevents wear, galling, corrosion and seizure of frictional surfaces on metal. Hytek applies all Dri-lubes and Aluminum based coatings for multiple applications.
