South Korea’s leading defense companies, Hanwha Aerospace Co., Hanwha Systems Co., and LIG Nex1 Co., will showcase advanced air defense systems at the International Defence Exhibition & Conference (IDEX 2025) in the UAE. The exhibition, launched in 1993, is the largest defense industry exhibition in the Middle East and Africa. Hanwha and LIG Nex1 will unveil the long-range surface-to-air missile (L-SAM) system, developed by Hanwha, and the control center produced by LIG Nex1. The company will also present air defense missile systems and anti-drone solutions. Hanwha Aerospace will exhibit a K9 self-propelled howitzer, while Hanwha Systems will introduce its 0.25-meter-class small synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite. LIG Nex1 will also showcase key air defense systems, including the Cheongung-II and its low altitude missile defense (LAMD) system. The company will also introduce unmanned surface vessels (USVs) with modular equipment, guided weapons, and smart weaponry for future soldiers.
