Melexis’ Sales and Margin Forecast for H1 2025
• Melexis, Belgium’s largest semiconductor supplier, predicts lower sales and margin for H1 2025.
• Inventory corrections by automotive clients continue into the new year.
• European and North American customers pushed back some orders to cut down high inventories.
• CEO Marc Biron said no further order delays were expected.
• Melexis expects an operating margin of around 16% in H1 2025, down from 26.3% in 2024.
• Half-year sales are expected to be around 400 million euros ($415.4 million), compared to 487.5 million euros last year.
• Melexis’ shares fell as much as 14.7% to 52.65 euros in early trading, their lowest price since mid-May 2020.
• Analyst Michael Roeg said the results and outlook were well below market expectations.
• Sales are expected to pick up significantly in the second half of 2025.
