India Signs Rs. 2,960 Crore Contract with Bharat Dynamics Limited for Medium-Range Surface-to-Air Missiles

Bharat Dynamics: India signs ₹2,960 crore contract for Medium-Range Surface-to-Air Missiles

 

• The Union Defence Ministry of India has signed a contract worth Rs. 2,960 crore with Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) for the supply of Medium-Range Surface-to-Air Missiles (MRSAM) for the Indian Navy.
• The contract was finalized in New Delhi on Friday and was signed by Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh.
• The MRSAM system, developed with Israel, will be fitted on multiple Indian Naval Ships and will be used on future acquisition platforms.
• The deal is a significant step towards strengthening India’s naval defense capabilities and promoting indigenisation under the ‘Make in India’ initiative.
