Digital Bloodhound Contract awarded to MTSI for $640 Million

After delays, Digital Bloodhound contract goes to MTSI for $640 million

• The Digital Bloodhound program, aimed at improving detection of cyber threats to space ground systems, was awarded to Modern Technology Solutions, Inc (MTSI) after multiple delays.
• The contract, valued at $640 million, will provide Space Systems Command (SSC) with Digital Bloodhound as part of the Defense Cyber Operations for Space mission.
• The program aims to protect against various types of unauthorized intrusion, corruption, and destruction of the Space Force’s networks.
• MTSI and its teammates will provide integrated program management, software development and deployment, mission/field deployment and sustainment, and cloud services support to enhance defensive cyber capabilities and mitigate cybersecurity risk across the USSF.
• The Space Force is seeking “$76 million” in its fiscal 2024 budget request for the program, up from $28 million in FY23.
• The Space Force has also asked for an additional $43 million in its FY24 “unfunded priorities” list to top up the Defense Cyber Operations-Space (DCO-S) program.
