Defence Ministry Signs Rs 1,561-Crore Contract For 47 T-72 Bridge Laying Tanks
• The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has signed a contract worth Rs 1,561 crore with Heavy Vehicles Factory (HVF) for the procurement of 47 T-72 Bridge Laying Tanks for the Indian Army.
• The contract was signed in the presence of senior officials of the Ministry and HVF/AVNL, in the presence of Defence Secretary, Rajesh Kumar Singh.
• The equipment will enhance battlefield mobility and offensive capability, supporting the ‘Make in India’ initiative and boosting the economy and employment opportunities.
