Babcock International Wins 17-Year Contract to Support French Air Defence Training

Babcock given contract to support French air defence training

 

• Babcock International has been awarded a 17-year contract worth €795 million to provide and support military air training solutions for the French Air and Space Force, and French Navy.
• The contract, awarded by the Direction Générale de l’Armement (DGA), will see student pilots trained on 22 new PC-7 MkX Pilatus aircraft.
• The contract is valued at €795m ($810.15m) and is granted by the French Direction Générale de l’Armement (DGA).
• The contract will facilitate the training of cadet pilots using 22 new PC-7 MkX Pilatus aircraft alongside 12 training programs.
• Babcock France, a subsidiary of Babcock International Group, has been working alongside the French Air and Space Force to provide modern training systems on flight simulators and 26 existing PC-21 aircraft at Cognac-Châteaubernard Air Base since 2018.
• The aim of this partnership is to modernize pilot training for the French Air Force.
• The contract is part of a larger effort to modernize pilot training for the French Air Force.
