Purpose and Scope:
Provide RP/Real Estate Management and Accountability for assets and programs under the control of the installation that comply with current DoD and AF policy through maintaining and keeping current the AF APSR to an auditable level. This position is in support of the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program (AFCAP) and is located at Ascension Island Auxiliary Airfield (AAAF).
Essential Responsibilities:
Review the applicable country to country agreements and ensure all RP requirements are followed and incorporated into the RP record.
Provide Real Property Assessable Unit (RPAU) actions in support of the AF Financial Improvement Audit Readiness (FIAR) audit.
Develop and implement a self-inspection program to address the areas outlined in the most current HHQ IG Inspection Guidance and MICT.
Prepare and maintain all appropriate documents related to acquisition, disposal, utilization, and management of government RP to document effective and efficient accountability and reporting.
Maintain / create accurate Facility Jacket Files that match APSR.
Process updates to the APSR IAW current policy and AF directives (Example update documents include DD Form 1354, AF Form 914, AF Form 300, and AF Form 123).
Prepare and maintain a real estate map for the Community Planning function.
Perform all actions to assist the Government in the acquisition and disposal of land grants IAW the Real Estate Transactions (RET) Playbook and governing DoD and AF publications.
Conduct grant compliance inspections annually on each grant to ensure conditions follow terms and conditions of the grant instrument.
Participate in facility final inspections to validate data in the Interim and Final DD Form 1354 IAW UFC 1-300-08 and current checklists.
Maintain accurate and up to date Space Utilization data and ensure accurate Customer Space Assignments in facilities.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Three years’ experience in each of the following: Easement’s, Real Estate Accounting, and Real Estate Transactions.
AFIT WMGT 424 Realty Management Course within six months of hiring.
Must be proficient with Next Generation Information Technology (NexGen IT) as the Accountable Property System of Record (APSR).
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Strong ability to work as a member of a diverse, dynamic team.
Must be USN to fill this position.
Outstanding problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
Possess a valid state issued driver’s license and passport.
Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
This position will be located at Ascension Island.
Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable.
Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
